David Saint is Organist and Director of Music at St Chad's Cathedral. Appointed Vice-Principal in 2008, he took up the post of Acting Principal in August 2010.
David studied the organ with Alan Spedding and Dame Gillian Weir and is active as a performer, teacher and choral director. He has given solo recitals in the UK, Europe and the USA and has performed with the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group on many occasions including BBC Proms broadcasts and at the Aldeburgh Festival. As a teacher, he has instigated annual study weeks abroad for Conservatoire organ students and works regularly for the Royal College of Organists.
David regularly writes reviews for the Organists' Review and has various choral and organ music published by Mayhews. He is a member of the CUK Curriculum working group and also serves on the Association of European Conservatoires’ Mundus Musicalis project.
