Nic Fallowfield is an experienced orchestral violinist: co-principal with Northern Sinfonia 1980-88; co-leader of English String Orchestra 1988-92; former leader of Orchestra of the Swan; co-leader of sinfonia ViVA (formerly East of England Orchestra) 1988-present; guest leader of Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Ulster Orchestra and others. He is also in demand as a player and coach of chamber music; he was first violin of the Delcini Quartet. Nic also conducts: having been invited to make his professional debut with a series of concerts in Finland in 1991, he has conducted orchestras throughout Europe. Here in the UK, he is conductor of Beauchamp Sinfonietta, Charnwood Orchestra and Four Counties (formerly Clwyd) Youth Orchestra and is frequently called upon to conduct orchestras at the Conservatoire.
