Irish pianist David Quigley studied at Birmingham Conservatoire, Paris Conservatoire and the Liszt Academy, Budapest. Winner of many major competitons, he combines an international performing career with teaching and is also founder and Director of the Birmingham International Piano Academy (BIPA), an annual summer school and festival held at the Conservatoire. David has performed as recitalist and concerto soloist worldwide in many major concert halls including Carnegie Hall (New York), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Symphony Hall (Birmingham) and the Musikverein (Vienna). David has collaborated with many distinguished conductors such as Barry Wordsworth, David Porcelijn, Barry Douglas and Takuo Yuasa. He has made several broadcasts for radio and television (BBC, RTE and Dutch Radio) and is a recording artist for the Lorelt label.
